A bit about me.
Hi. Hello. I’m Julia and I have almost 20 years working at the intersection of technology and social impact.
Disclaimer: All the thoughts and feelings and vibes on this here blog are my own.
Quick Hits:
I am equal parts a dreamer and a doer. I love the process as much as what’s possible.
Ways that people describe me: efficient, powerful, empathetic, community builder, friend maker, fast talker, friendly, upbeat, quirky, spitfire, smart, compassionate, effective as sh*t.
Bio in a nutshell:
I served the Portland, OR community as a case manager at Central City Concern, delighted customers as a lead pastry chef at a bakery housed in what was once my childhood public library, started my own catering and event management company (my cookies are bomb.com), and worked as a development director at a local school, leveraging relationship management systems and major gifts work to bring education to life. I did programs and product management for a digital consulting firm called ThinkShout and went on to head up their Sales and Marketing team. Then I went full SaaS and built the HubSpot for Nonprofits program- 10xing the company’s initial business case, onboarding more than 50 partners, and rolling out in 4 countries. Currently I head up partner success (aka account management) for a very cool startup called AidKit, focused on making direct cash and public benefits programming more accessible.
When I am not busy you can find me baking, swimming, traveling, building community with the likes of Multnomah County Democrats, Jewish Voice for Peace, Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition, and Pacific Refugee Support Group- all the while trying desperately to achieve fluency in Spanish.
